Eberlestock  X2

Seems like everyone is always looking for the perfect bag, and saddle hunters in particular seem to be very demanding. I have been using the X2 after I grabbed one of Eberlestock’s older versions on sale in 2023.  They only had the dry earth color left in stock but the discount was too good to pass up so I grabbed it.   It has been my primary hunting bag since then and I am relatively impressed.

I find it to pack up nicely, wear comfortably, and have plenty of room for whatever I may need.  In fact, about the only complaint I might come up with is that in the early season it’s too big.  Sometimes I find myself carrying a (mostly) empty bag that can be a bit cumbersome to handle in the tree. But I’m a system oriented guy, and once I get a setup I like, I like to stay with it, so I continue to use this bag even in the early season when I’m not carrying layers, etc with me.

The one drawback that I can point out with this pack is that it can be just a bit short for the waistband to hit me perfectly.  I’m just a touch over 6 feet, and maybe if I was just a couple of inches shorter in the torso, I wouldn’t find this to be an issue.
